Dr. Erika Kubik was born in Fredericton and moved to Sussex as a child where she developed a love for animals and their well-being on her grandparent’s dairy farm.
She attended the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (Dalhousie) before attending and graduating from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2011. Dr. Kubik then worked in small animal practice in Gander Newfoundland upon graduation. There she learned many great lessons, and even picked up the charming accent. Despite the great memories, Dr. Kubick couldn’t pass up the opportunity to return home and to Valley Veterinary Hospital where she had worked as a student while attending veterinary school.
Dr. Kubik enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but is especially passionate about preventative medicine, as well as communicating and educating owners about their four-legged family members.
Dr. Kubik lives with her husband in Fredericton with their 2 cats, Denzel and Penny, and dog Molson. All of which are “shelter specials” (Denzel was actually obtained while a student at Valley Veterinary Hospital).
In her spare time, Dr. Kubik enjoys spending time in the outdoors, whether it being skiing, skating or snow shoeing in the winter months or hiking, running, boating or photography in the warmer months.
