What To Expect

When you arrive at Valley Veterinary Hospital for your appointment, you will be greeted by our reception team. To assist with tracking your pet’s overall health, we will ask for a weight check on your pet at every visit. For cats and small dogs, this will happen in the exam room on our pediatric scale. For larger dogs, our scale is located to the left of the reception area. Our reception team will gladly assist you and your pet to make going on the scale a happy experience!
A member of our reception team will show you to an examination room as soon as one is available. It is our goal that all patients are seen on time, however, sometimes emergency cases are presented that can cause unexpected delays. We will ensure these times are minimized as much as possible and the reception team will keep you informed of the estimated wait time.

A technician will begin the appointment by reviewing the reason for your pet’s visit, as well as gathering some history. A veterinarian will then examine your pet from nose to tail, answer any question you may have and create a custom treatment plan if needed.

Once you are finished with the veterinarian, our receptionist will finalize the billing and schedule any follow up appointments your pet may need.

Please note our phones are answered from 8am-7:30 Monday, Tuesday. Wednesday, and Thursday, and from 8am - 4:30 on Fridays.
